Manor Rewards

During the summer term the staff and children worked with the school council to improve our school reward systems which we launched in our assemblies. There will now be two separate systems for behaviour and work. Spark has been reworded and will now be awarded for work based achievement (in Year’s 1-6).


Prizes will continue to be given at 25, 50, 75 and 100 and beyond if necessary and will be presented in achievers assemblies which will take place at 9am on Mondays for Year 1 and 2, Year 5 and 6 will be 2.30 on a Monday pm and Year 3 and 4 at 9am on a Tuesday.

Children will earn 1 SPARK each week for completing all their homework (including reading) and another SPARK each week for attending on time every day for the whole week. Additional SPARKS can be earned for behaviour that meets one of the values.

Behaviour is now covered by Manor Manners which brings together the behaviour traffic light system and our school rules / expectations. (This also applies to the Foundation stage where the bear system is now used to earn Manor Money)

All children start on Green each day and move up to Gold or down to Orange / Red depending on how they behaviour throughout the day.

If the children stay on Green all day they receive one piece of Manor Money.

If the children make wrong choices and move to orange they have the chance to make the right choices and move back to green. If however they are still on orange at the end of the day they also don’t earn their Manor Money for that day.

Red behaviour is quite serious and there are clear consequences for these actions. Once they are there they can move back up the traffic lights within class for the day but will not get their manor money for the day.

Once the children have earned 25 pieces of Manor Money they can choose if they spend their money on a prize or save it for a bigger prize worth 50, 75 or 100.

Attendance rewards and prizes are still being given and will be explained in a separate letter.
